Our Story
The Alaska Bear® story begins in 2015, when our founder John was dealing with chronic insomnia. He tried everything – from meditation to medication – but nothing seemed to help.
One night, in desperation, John put on a silk sleep mask he had received as a gift. To his amazement, he slept through the night for the first time in months! The natural breathability and gentle compression of the silk eye mask helped block out light and relax his mind.
Inspired by this discovery, John set out to create a line of premium silk sleep products to help others achieve better rest.
